Carpet Cleaning Policies and Procedures
The client hereto agrees as follows:
1. Liability Policies:
⦁ 1st Rate Services and its team agree to provide services stated in this contract in a reliable and trustworthy manner. In consideration of these services and as an express condition thereof, the client expressly waives any and all claims against 1st Rate Services or its team, unless from gross negligence on the part of 1st Rate Services.
⦁ Every effort is made to be as careful as possible with your items, however, accidents do happen. Notification must be made within 24 hours of breakage/loss of any personal items. Items which are antique, irreplaceable, hard to find, ect. Are not covered by our breakage policy. Please remove these items the day of your cleaning.
⦁ 1st Rate Services does not use ladders or move items more than 35 pounds to protect us and our staff from injury. If you would like cleaning behind heavy objects, please move prior to cleaning.
⦁ 1st Rate Services Does not use bleach. If client request the use of bleach, 1st Rate Services is not responsible for any damage it may cause.
⦁ 1st Rate Services is not responsible for damage incurred by the improper installation of any object. All surfaces are assumed sealed. If you know of any surface not sealed, you must notify us so that we may clean properly.
⦁ The nature of some spots makes it impossible to restore original color or texture. At times, a spot will appear to be even more visible after a general cleaning of the material. Spotting work on rust, liquor, cosmetics, ink, coffee, lipstick stains, and the like is performed at customer’s risk because removal of spots is not guaranteed.
⦁ Carpeting, by nature, has certain permanent characteristics (fluffing, blooming, pile shading) that cannot be changed and may even be highlighted by cleaning.
⦁ Backing, lining, and other materials and processes used in manufacturing carpeting and furniture may produce adverse results in the face material when cleaned. There is no way of determining when such results will occur.
⦁ The client will not hold 1st Rate Services or its staff responsible for shrinkage unless shrinkage is caused by our negligence.
⦁ The client will not hold 1st Rate Services or its staff responsible for color fading due to light, age, or weak or deteriorated materials.
⦁ Pet damage & major odor treatment: These treatments can only be guaranteed if we are allowed to reach all of the affected areas.
2. Business Policies:
⦁ 1st Rate Services prefers that alarms are kept off for the day of cleaning or be provided alarm code and password. If it must be on and the alarm is triggered, 1st Rate Services is not responsible for any fees associated with alarm.
⦁ 1st Rate Services agrees to keep keys and other client information secure and confidential. Locksmith fees are paid only if our company misplaces the keys.
⦁ Cleaning rates are subject to change as the condition of your home changes. Additional services need to be requested in advance, so we can schedule the additional time and supplies needed.
⦁ A checklist will be left with client to show exactly what we did in each room to avoid confusion.
⦁ If you would like to hire a present or past 1st Rate Services team member for any house cleaning or pet sitting service outside of your agreement with 1st Rate Services, our referral fee is $2,500. All employees or IC’s of 1st Rate Services are under a non-compete contract for a period of two years after separation of service with 1st Rate Services.
3. Cancellation Policy:
⦁ Cancellations must be received 3 days prior to scheduled service or full cleaning fees will be applied. This includes instances where we cannot access your home or if a team member feels their personal safety is at risk due to an aggressive pet or actions by any individuals on the premise.
⦁ 1st Rate Services reserves the right to deny service or terminate service because of safety concerns, financial concerns, or inappropriate or uncomfortable situations.
4. Business Hours/Holidays/Weather:
⦁ Business hours fall between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. and services are usually completed during this time.
⦁ 1st Rate Services does not accept time specific calls as we can not guarantee specific times accurately. We reserve the right to cancel scheduled cleanings due to inclement weather.
⦁ 1st Rate Services does not do holiday visits for carpet cleaning services. If your scheduled day falls on a holiday, 1st Rate Services will call to reschedule.
5. Bad Check Policy:
A $20 fee is assessed on all returned checks. All fees are due promptly and must be paid via cash or money order only.
6. Payment Agreement:
Payment is expected before services are rendered. A $20 non-payment fee may be applied if payment is not received on scheduled day. We have the right to discontinue services until payment is made.
7. Guarantee Policy:
1st Rate Services wants you to be completely satisfied every time. If, within 24 hours, you are not satisfied, 1st Rate Services will come back to your home and re-clean said items at no additional charge.
